Hen Pheasant Mottle Bobble

We have taken great enjoyment in the inspiration the field provides us for everything we are pursing at TWELVEBORE. Our relaxed, lifestyle crossover wears are no different. 

The first from our pelt series, this is our Hen Pheasant pelt-inspired bobble hat.

The outcome of over five months working tirelessly with a husband and wife run knitter in Scotland that specialises in small batch knitting, to spin a unique blend that reflects the pelt colourings of the female hen pheasant. 

We believe that a bobble can be used in the field and we will be wearing this on cold winter mornings in the pigeon hide, knowing full well we are camouflaged. 

Hand crafted in Scotland with super soft but robust handle you’d expect from a sheep that’s been tamed, but left with its essential character intact.

The wool is sturdy but maintains a lovely drape, making it a great choice for woolly hats and socks. The yarn has more than enough character to make acres of stocking stitch tell their own story.

Construction that blends the softness and lustre of Bluefaced Leicester with the bounce and toothiness of Masham. The result is an uncommonly hardwearing yarn for the softness, with next to no bobbling.

The wool is spun in the north of England, famous for generations of wool making and is from fleece sourced from flocks of sheep within a 50 mile radius of the mill. This tiny production circle helps to minimise the carbon footprint of the entire yarn production process.

Quietly labelled with our TWELVEBORE wordmark to the rear of the bobble hat.
